Founders and Leadership

The agency was co-founded by Nick Middleton and Grant Paley, both prominent figures in the Canadian music industry.

• Nick Middleton: Serving as Co-Founder and CEO, Nick is both a celebrated artist and entrepreneur. He is renowned as one of Canada’s preeminent talent buyers, having secured debut market plays for global icons like Lorde, Iggy Pop, and Diplo. As an artist, he has performed on iconic stages such as Coachella and Life Is Beautiful. Additionally, he is a JUNO award-winning producer and engineer, crafting remixes for artists like U2 and Imagine Dragons.

• Grant Paley: As Co-Founder and President, Grant is a stalwart in the Canadian music industry with a profound connection to music as both an award-winning artist and agent. His musical journey began as the frontman and DJ of Moses Mayes. After a decade of performances, he transitioned to become a music agent, spending 12 years at Paquin Artists Agency before co-founding Midnight Agency in 2020. In 2023, he was honored as the Canadian Live Music Association's Agent of the Year.

• First Anniversary: On April 6th, 2022, Midnight Agency celebrated its first anniversary. Within its first year, the agency expanded its team, opened a second office in Toronto, and grew its artist roster to include 38 artists spanning all corners of the globe.
